The Dilemma of Teaching in a Public School
I think there's just so many competing tensions and priorities, right? You as a teacher may have aspirations to do A, B and C with your students in their class. And then on the very end of that spectrum or that dichotomy is the obligation to the standards and the tests. If I was a teacher today, honestly, you know what I would do, I would ask my students to create a podcast episode. It's really hard to do and it's fun and I think they would enjoy that much more.
