I think that message came to her at the right time, even though she diminishes the film later. The idea that the screen doesn't go to black, but that it's still filming, I think it contributes to this idea that life goes on. It takes on more meanings when moved into the realm of fiction and thinking about how the story tries to metabolize this other artwork for its own aims.
