i think we have a misconception about what learning is, because in school it was often trying to recite something. If you don't take inter connected notes, but just stick with one book at a time and maybe underline or high lights and sentences, you don't make the connections which are necessary to facilitate understanding. And once you understood the connection between these bits of inform you really don't need to learn any more. i think there's often this misconception that it's either learning or its focusing on the fundamentals... It's really learning better by focusing on understanding.
