What Type of Trader Are You?
Nick has an extensive background in technical analysis and usually technical analysis is associated with discretionary trading. But really there's two sides to that: you've got your discretionary side where you're looking at chart patterns and drawing trend lines on your chart. And then you've also got the quantitative side where you are using mathematical formulas if you like. So, you know, we use price derivatives of price. We use volatility volume, those kinds of things. I am a 100% systematic trader. He trade trend following systems for the majority of his funds and also a selection of mean reversion systems as well.
