Introduction
Global sea turtle populations have undergone drastic declines over the past two centuries due to anthropogenic activities. Although much of the genetic basis of sea turtles' traits remains unknown, analyses of sequence genomes offer an opportunity to study turtles' adaptive potential and extinction risk. Study explores role genomic elements play in the evolution of sea turtles and potentially other vertebrates.
