Introduction
Labour have surged to a 33-point lead in the U-Guff opinion poll. It is thought to be the biggest poll lead enjoyed by any party with any pollster since the late 1990s, Labour on 54% and the Conservatives on 21%. Two polls out at the same time showing respectively a 33- point and a 21-point lead for Labour. The largest poll lead for an opposition party. As 1996, it would result in the biggest majority of any government at any time, ever,. A potential extinction level event for the Conservative Party. Now it is just a couple of polls. I think there's no way it will be replicated at that level anyway at a general election.
