tim hanton: I think countries are quite jealous of maintaining their own administrations. There have been steps taken n the european asylum office, which was established in malta about a decade ago. We've got the common border force now, another new idea, which is trying to maintain the same border regulations around the eu. But don't think it's going to happen in the next few years.
