The Importance of Honesty
"I grew up as a fundamentalist, Christian, born again Christian. And you believe that my Christianity determined whether I go to heaven or hell," he says. "My father was in Pakistan for many years in the belief that unless he could persuade Muslims to accept Christ that they would go to hell." He and his mother got to know many Muslim families at much greater depth. Many of them were deeply spiritual and shared a lot of the sort of concerns they did.
