The Importance of Everything in the Bible

When you read the words of Jesus, you are reading literally the words of God, your Father. It is so difficult for us modern Christians to wrap our minds around that because again, of the way pastors refer to and teach from and use the Bible. But here's an interesting thing. In the first century, there's a Pharisee who was absolutely committed to Torah and absolutely committed to God's covenant with Israel. He then becomes a Jesus follower and abandons the old covenant and embraces the new covenant. And he's the one that gives us the language, the law of Christ.
