Marx's Choice of Starting Point

Marx starts with the standpoint from the concept of the commodity. He could have started all kinds of different places, but he decides to start with the commodity. When I analyze it, it really allows me to understand how the whole thing works. It's not a brick by brick approach at all. Most of us are not used to that.
