Power Wheeling Is a Go in Indonesia
There's a crucial long overdue renewable energy bill under deliberation still in parliament, but deliberations have a long way to go. The government confirmed last week that it opposes power wheeling, but acknowledge that it may change its stance. PLN is reluctant to allow power wheeling to happen, because it's afraid that there's going to be higher costs,. It could exacerbate PLN's losses, and could exacerbate the oversupply electricity on Java.
