The New York Fed is reporting to Chair Powell. Regulators exist in 12 pods all around the country. It is the duty of the pods to regulate the banks inside of their districts. So should Mary daily have been really raising the flag for Michael Barr, vice chair of supervision and regulation? He should have known. Gee, it's it rhymes with countrywide. The same exact district as subprime nuclear ground zero,. And it's happening again on the West coast.
