Leni Henry's Rising to the Surface

For 25 years from the mid-80s until 2010, Henry was married to Dawn French. Their daughter Billy Henry was adopted as a newborn in the 1990s. By his own admission, Henry allowed his schedule to become hyperkinetic. When Winnifred became gravely ill in 1998, Henry decided to go off on an arranged tour of Australia. In his memoirs he wonders what that was about. Why couldn't I just be at mum's side?
