If I set myself a goal of 500 words when I hit 500 or 1, 500 and 2 I am exhausted. If I stop at 997 I only have to write three the next day. So that was sometimes my way of giving myself a day off effectively if I knew I was going out and I knew the next day I'd be really hungover. But then sadly they're also the days where you write some exactly up to 500500 100 one 500 two... Oh this is so good. It's such a good trick to get us going.
