I sense that there could be ruptures within United's fan base because for some fans, it would be acceptable to have some former sports washing as an owner. For others, I'll be saying that there's the social issues attached to this. And if it means, for example, the glazers mark to someone else who's just going to load that onto Manchester United, that hardly fills me with joy either. The demographic is so, so vast now that what works for one group of fans is completely different to others.
