The Pair Instability Supernova

I remember when we talked about the different kinds of supernovae. There's one called the pair instability supernova, which is the largest stars where they just explode completely. So I'm trying to figure out how that mass would get flown out preferentially in one direction so that the other star was the one star just disappears. The 100 solar mass star just vaporizes. No remnant left behind. Right. Now you mash together croquet cricket and pool there. Yes, yes I did.
