i'm sorry to report, i was shocked when i first heard it too. But that's where we get to read's idea that adequate performance gets a generous severance. Because if you get rid of those adequate performers, then suddenly you'll see tat that that high performance just spirals up with your team. And what we've seen in this research is that the best predictor of how a team perform is not what the best performer is like, or even what the middle performer is like. It's what the lowest performer islike.
