i think spinoza is a real antidote to mechanistic reductionism, the sense of meaningless and lessness. It's perhaps another thing to really experience what that connection might be like in your life. The intellectual path to that is not the path for everybody. But spinoza does, i think, really do a great job of showing us, perhaps, new ways of thinking. New ways of understanding ourselves.
