The Importance of Women's Roller Derby

Roller derby is an alternative culture on the vanguard of progressive values. Women were nervous about playing a contact sport against somebody with a more typically male muscular skeletal structure. I doubt anyone in roller derby expresses such anxieties out loud anymore, as they have become socially unacceptable and rightly so. Letting people live a life consistent with their basic conception of who they are in as much as is practically possible is more important than games.
