The D20 came out with a CMOS sensor, complementary metal oxide on silicon versus CCD. pixel size and how you design a sensor is so key to what you get later. Each camera tends to have its own look. Some cameras are good for some things and some cameras aregood for others. And I've always also quite, quite the speed of a film stock.
