What's Going on With the UK's Sewer Systems?

Rivers save the NHS £8 or £17 million a year in mental health services. The UK is one of the few countries to actually value its natural capital, nature. We over-extract them for drinking water and they're important for floodplain management. A lot of our rivers are full of illicit drugs such as paracetamol,. ibrofen, active contraceptive pill, you know what I mean? But there's actually no point on it because we were never expected to take out these chemicals.
