Functional Programming: The Future of Programming
functional programming is having an increasing impact on the entire world of programming. It's been kind of building up over the last 20 years its influence. Do I think it's going to overtake imperative programming right now? No. There are still too many performance bottlenecks for working in purely functional programming languages for everything. If you want to be a good programmer today even if you're working in a C sharp or Java or a Python you should at least be familiar with the ideas from functional programming.
