The Ninja Myth
The ninjas were said to be an incredibly secret sect of spies and assassins, who had purposefully hidden their existence from history. Some have gone so far as to say that the ninjas never really existed. The naysayers contend that ninjas were just a folktale, dreamt up by a medieval Japanese mind. But that's exactly what the ninjas would want us to believe. You see, the ninjas were real, and their descendants still live in Japan today. Nonetheless, trying to separate ninja history from ninja myth continues to be a challenge even for the most dedicated ninja experts.
