Is the State a Coercive System of Law?
At the heart of this debate is a metaphysical debate. If you look at modern political theory, it tends to be perceived without detailed metaphysics. Warzians are proud of the fact that you can do political theory and study justice without having to do metaphysics. This is basically a recommendation of the intellectual enterprise, but this cannot be fundamental to any accuracy legal structure.
