The Three Worlds of Evangelicalism
In the mid 1950s, America was still basically a Protestant normative country. Half of all Americans attended church every weekend. In the 1960s, you could really probably date it to around 1964. Around about 1994, we hit a tipping point where Christianity was not perceived positively anymore. And then around 2014, we had a second tipping point in what I call the negative world. Being known as a Christian actually hurts you socially,. certainly in the elite domains of society.
