The Importance of Observing Large-Scale Structures
When we are observing the large-scale structure of the universe, we have to assume a certain scale. We usually assume 8 megaparsets over little age,. spheres, let's say, which is about 25 million light years. This is much bigger than even galaxy clusters. So if you go out and you observe these structures, right, what can you do to sort of determine, oh, this linear approximation will not work anymore? What I observe on these smaller cosmic scales is actually going to be much richer. It's going to have much denser over densities and much more under densities than I would have predicted with this simple linear sort of approximation.
