The Mutiny and the Tow Ropes
About a hundred and forty nine men and one woman ended up on the raft. The intention here was that the other boats would towthe raft to safety. But it became apparent pretty soon that that was not going to work out. By the fourth day, all the survivors were practising cannibalism. And meat was cut from corpses and dried on the mast before it was eaten.
