The Manhattan Project and the Nuclear Pile Research

In 1942, Oppenheimer suggested the location of Los Alamos, New Mexico as one of the three sites the Manhattan Project would use to pursue the effort of building an atomic bomb. DuPont was not super keen on doing this and it actually did take quite a few conversations before they came on board but they would ultimately build the facility.
