The Importance of Privacy in R&B
For R&B the important thing there for preserving freedom is the difference. That we should be able to distinguish between the different spaces we inhabit and activity we engage in. Her fear is that all of the activities and spaces have basically become part of what she calls the waste economy. If you do not have that space of privacy where you can be alone with yourself, where you can have solitude, you cannot think. Your ability to think is fundamentally compromised.
