Most of the stuff in textbooks you read on government websites are giving us the wrong idea about food. There are some facts that are correct, there are many that are not and I think it's really a total misunderstanding nowthat we've got to deal with. Eating more fruits and vegetables, eating more fibre, they're all good. Eating less fat is not correct. Resizing to reduce weight is incorrect. Reducing having low calorie foods is incorrect. Having low fat substitutes for whole fat is incorrect. The one myth that overrides all of these is that calorie counting is a successful way to lose weight.
