Is Bacteria Breaking Down Atrosine?
The idea that the fungi do a part of the decomposition process, but they don't do the whole thing everything. The general thinking is that the fungi are breaking down the bigger, more complex, recalcitrant chmi bonds and it's bacteria that break them down. So we're getting to another point where, you know, we add this new layer complexity, and then it may be changes the outcomes of it. It would seem crazy that there wouldn't be a benefit of leveraging the other microbes too.
