Death and Its Linkage to Sin

Death is a physical event that reveals nature coming to an end in us. But it conceals the decisive element of death, which is our definitive disposition of the self and a final act of freedom. Death must be linked to sin in a Christian account of these things. This is the, I think, death and its linkage to sin, I think forms the intuition behind the need to represent death as eerie and unnatural and as horrific.
