What Are the Controlling Principles?

Justice is really about a sort of meta virtue, a higher level of virtue. The other question in the republic is, who cares? Is justice even really good for its own sake and good for its consequences? So part of our study in the republic was just trying to make these questions explicit,. And then, of course, trying to also identify these controlling principles. Those are my main takeaways from these sections in adler: understand the questions and try and get those controlling principles out of the work.
