Introduction
The nineteenth century ukranian poet and painter taras shevchenko was a major cultural figure in his country. He's not just the national poet who breathed new life into the uKranian language, but a symbol of their country's independence. Shechenka was born a serf, an enslaved person in central ukraine, near kivre, then part of the russian empire, in 18 14. i 'm joined by two ukrania writers and literary scholars to learn more about her work.
