In his emphasis on in-between spaces and relationalities, I find his work to be deeply animist. You have to be willing to let your feathers get ruffled a little bit. Even the biography on his site speaks relationally as opposed to positionally. He spends a lot of time in his biography speaking about other people besides himself.
