GP and Max are the best combination for each other that they could possibly have. GP has vastly experienced, he's been around the sport a long, long time. He takes no nonsense from Max, but understands that there will be times that his driver gets a bit hotheaded. They work together superbly well, both know each other's faults and each other's pros. It was make decisive good calls instantly - I think you can win anything when you've got a relationship like that with your race engineer. Give him his full title, yes.
