Citizens' Assemblies is a form of deliberative democracy. The idea comes from David Van Reibrock's book Against Elections. Claudia Schiffer says it goes back as far as the Greeks and even the Romans. It could help people feel like they have agency in their daily lives, she says.
Instead of electing politicians to represent us…what if we just represented ourselves? Peer to peer. Neighbor to neighbor.
