How to Spot a Deceptive Spirit

The New Testament did not view the danger of making a mistake as so high that all contact with spirits must be avoided. They expected their readers to still have contact with spirits and gave them useful tests for how to spot deceivers. Could people make a mistake in applying the tests? Absolutely, because people make mistakes. But that was just as true of the first Christians as it is a people today.
