Walmart grew 77 % their first year after o. In fact, by 19 77, the market cap was still only 135 million dollars. As a public company, growing quickly. Seven years after ipo, in 19 77, they did half a billion dollars in sales,. Growing at that rate. So walmart's compound annual revenue growth rate for the whole decade of the 19 seventies was forty point one% and then in the 19 eighties, it was 32 point four%. Those two decades propelled them to be, and somehow still hold the crown for the highest revenue company in the world.
