Chronically Infected by a Pandemic
I don't want to say that I've taught students how to get right with the idea of being chronically ill through an infectious disease but I have had discussions with people that seem to have helped them settle help them ground a little bit more into the idea that this thing is here and it's not doing me any favors. It changes the relationship from one that's like drinking poison and expecting somebody else to die to sitting with it and a sort of more stable calm space. As far as I can tell that seems to be a good thing to strive for.
