The Catipunan and Amelia Aginaldo
Amilio aginaldo joined a clandestine group of some 30 thousand seeking to cast off spanish rule and establish an independent philippine nation. The catipunan was known as the association, or, in the tagalic language, the catipunon. By the end of the year, the young revolutionary found himself negotiating with spain. In it the spanish agreed to amnesty for the revolutionaries and a serious cash payment to catipunans leaders. These same leaders agreed to go into exile.
