The Context of Malcolm X
The book is a literary masterpiece and sometimes you can't necessarily access that, especially in a high school classroom. I had been wanting to read it since this summer because I had been having a lot of conversations with former students in the wake of George Floyd's death. And so for all of those reasons, I think it would make such an excellent text to teach. We didn't get to hear Sarah what she thought of the book.
