The Black Freedom Struggle After the Break
Constance baker matley was a civil rights lawyer in the south. She travelled back and forth from New York to fight against segregation. Her family accompanied her when she went down there for work, but they also had to endure indignities like not being allowed to use the bathroom at gas stations. The book is an able story of a family and of motherhood and professional striving - as well as black freedom struggle after the break.
