Willie Dickson was the O-terr behind almost everything that chess records put out, as well as a session bass player. He wrote and played on hits from muddy waters, Howl and Wolf, Sonny by Williamson II, Little Walter,. Coco Taylor, Bo Diddley, Elmore James. When second generation of rock and rollers started up in the 1960s, White Boys with guitars from England, it was Willie Dickson's songs that formed the backbone of their repertoire.
