What's Going on in the New Testament?

In some ways, although Erasmus wouldn't use this vocabulary because God hadn't invented Hegel yet, I think that Erasmus is tiptoeing into something like historicism with this. There's a lot in here about the way in which we hold history and forgetting and stuff like that. And whatever unbelief looks like, it should be a post-Christian unbelief. We shouldn't pretend that Christianity had ever happened.
