How to Write a Constitution - The Mostellar and Wallace Paper
The problem they were trying to solve actually goes back to the earliest days of the founding of the united states. The idea is, if you can do a textual analysis or a linguistic analysis on the patterns and the words that are being used in these unsigned papers, can you figure out who the author was? So that was what they sought to do in this paper. And it's a real tour to force, because they're really demonstrating, i think, for the first time, that this method can work in inter of the if you just break apart a piece of a document into its words, that you can figure out the author this way.
