The road is a work of apocalyptic literature, distopian fiction. The reason we're fascinated with these sorts of stories is because we ask ourselves, could we survive? And who would we go back for? Later in this year, mc carthy is bringing out two novels, and he's going to be focusing on a female protagonist. But if you go through his ovra, he doesn't focus on female protagonists. So who would weGo back for? Yes, if somebody was being feasted upon by zombes, who would that person have to be for us to risk our lives for them?
