Do You Know What Happened in the First Relationship?
Psychoanalytic perspective is that everything that happens builds on something that happened before. So we're going to be able ultimately to trace back on some level patterns all the way back to the first relationship, which is between the primary caregiver and the individual. What was the thing that was most disturbing? It could have been with somebody else. I don't see why not. But I think we're talking about, it depends what kind of attachments were held in a healthy place.
