Why Is It So Hard to Get Punitive Damages for Sexual Harassment?

There is a limit to how much you can actually get for a sexual harassment claim. McDonald's, any company with more than 500 employees, the most they can pay out in punitive damages is $300,000. The majority of those over half of awards of punitive damages and sexual harassment cases are significantly reduced or thrown out on appeal. This idea of like getting rich through sexual harassment cases just isn't a very good strategy.
