The most important question is how fast are people going to put this code into end user experiences that musicians can actually get their hands on. In my conversation with musician friends, there is a lot of mixed feelings about this stuff. On the one hand, it's scary. People are worried about their skills being commoditized and reduced to something that a computer does with a press of a button. At the same time, there's a lot of excitement and enthusiasm to start to use them as part of composition.
